Accelerated trafficking of road, airfield, or dock pavements allows design engineers and road owners to assess the remaining life of their pavement assets and to try-out new materials and designs so that future pavements are more economic and reliable. |

This web site is the 'front door' to two research committees - COST347 in Europe and AFD40 in the USA. You can also obtain a brief overview of the accelerated load testing of pavements (by following the orange link at the bottom of the wheel). The same link allows you to see some pictures of typical accelerated pavement testing equipment and to find links to the individual websites of some of the research work in this area. |
